Linda H. Schumacher

Linda H. Schumacher, consultant, speaker, author, and certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is author of the book Ready, Set, Succeed!: How successful projects triumph over business as usual. Ms. Schumacher is president of Schumacher Consulting, Inc., a company she founded in 1998. With more than 20 years of business experience, her specialty is providing coaching, training and consulting services to help companies conduct successful strategic projects.

Ms. Schumacher is an instructor with the PMCenters USA and is an adjunct professor at Penn State New Kensington. She served as Vice President of Membership for the Pittsburgh Chapter of Project Management Institute from 2004 - 2009.

During her career, she has applied her experience across a broad range of industry sectors including higher education, banking, insurance, small businesses, community arts organizations, social service agencies, and manufacturing. Prior to starting her company, Ms. Schumacher managed technology projects for corporations in Pennsylvania and California. She started her career as a professional fund-raiser, managing fund-raising projects with volunteer committees.

Ms. Schumacher has honed her approach to organizing people and activities to a fine art over her years of managing bankers, artists, administrative staff, software engineers, fund-raisers, actors, front-line supervisors, executives, sales professionals, attorneys, accountants, clients, and many others. She has been involved in projects in all aspects of a business enterprise, including marketing, product development, accounting, inventory management, regulatory compliance, customer service, sales, systems, and operations. Her years of managing projects and her experience as a small business owner make her uniquely qualified to advise businesses on how to manage strategic business projects.

Ms. Schumacher has a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MS in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh. She resides in Pittsburgh, PA with her husband.
